Whole-home Wi-Fi installation that reaches every room.
For homes. Running an office? Start at Networking.
This is a project-only engagement. Whole-home Wi-Fi is not monthly Managed IT (Managed IT is for commercial offices).
Dead zones upstairs. Video calls that drop in the home office. Usually it's the router your cable company left in a basement corner, and the extender you bought to fix it. We replace the whole thing, by the same engineer who builds networks for law firms and medical offices across Westchester and the city.
A UniFi gateway by the router. Signal hops wirelessly up to the first floor, then across it, and each hop is slower than the last.
A small rack by the router, Cat6 in the walls to a ceiling access point on every floor. Full strength in every room.
The short version.
The full rates are on the pricing page. How we bill, respond and hand off is on the plain-English terms.
You didn't buy a house to think about Wi-Fi.
The top floor is a dead zone.
Your router is in the basement. The signal has to get through two floors and a plaster ceiling, and it doesn't.
Zoom drops in the home office.
The call freezes, you say "can you hear me" six times, you move to the kitchen. Every day.
You already tried the extender.
Extenders cut your speed in half and create a second network your phone clings to. That's why it felt worse, not better.
Eight boxes in a closet and no idea what they do.
Modem, old router, two switches, something from the alarm company. We label it, mount it, and hand you a photo of it.
- Kids doing schoolwork upstairs over a signal that quits.
- A hybrid job, and the home office is the worst room in the house.
- You run a business from home, and the network is a business expense.
- You want Wi-Fi in the yard, the garage or the pool house.
- Cameras and a doorbell that lag, buffer or drop.
- Real security for the home network and every device on it.
- Parental controls that actually work on the kids' devices.
- Wi-Fi that kicks you off randomly.
- Slowness and freezing at the same time every evening.
- Three Wi-Fi names and nobody knows which one to use.
- A whole-home speaker system that stutters or disappears from its app.
- Replacing the old mesh kit or router you have been fighting for years.
- You just moved in and want the network set once and forgotten for the next decade.
We've fixed this exact list in homes from Riverdale to Greenwich since 2021. Start with a call. You'll know the price before anyone comes out.
Two ways we fix it.
Real prices, hardware included. Which one you need depends on your walls, your floors and what you already own. We'll tell you on the call, not after we've sold you something.
These are home prices. Business networks are scoped and priced differently.
Three nodes. Hardware, install and 30 days of support included.
Best for: Drywall. One or two floors, up to about 4,000 sq ft. Nothing gets drilled.
- Three UniFi Express 7 nodes, yours to keep. Wi-Fi 7 with 6 GHz, a 10G port on each one.
- Placement measured with a meter, room by room.
- Your ISP box set up correctly. One network, not two fighting each other.
- Your Wi-Fi name and password carried over. Nothing gets re-paired.
- Every device tested before we leave. Including the printer.
Time on site: 2 to 3 hours
On the call we confirm node count, and whether wiring existing ethernet makes sense for your house.
Book a callRack included. Hardware, install and 30 days of support.
Best for: Plaster, brick or steel lath. Three or more floors. A home office that cannot drop. Anyone adding cameras.
- Three UniFi U7 Pro XG ceiling access points, each on its own new Cat6 run.
- UniFi Dream Machine Pro with a real firewall. No subscription to keep it working.
- A wall-mounted network rack with the gateway, PoE switch, labeled patch panel, shelf and battery backup. You get a photo of it.
- Smart-home gadgets on their own network, kept away from your laptops.
- Every device tested before we leave.
Time on site: One to two days
On the call we confirm access points, cable runs and the rack for your house.
Book a callJust bought a mesh system and don't want to replace it? We'll reset it, redesign the placement and configure it properly. Support covers our configuration. Hardware stays with your manufacturer's warranty. And we'll tell you on the call if that money is better spent elsewhere.
Ask on the callMesh or wired?
The honest version, so you can guess before we talk.
Not sure? That's what the call is for.
What we replace.
These are the systems we take out most often. If yours is on this list, it isn't broken and you didn't do anything wrong. Consumer Wi-Fi is sold on square footage, and square footage isn't what kills a signal. Walls do, floors do, and where the box sits does.
- The router your internet provider left, and the extender that came after it. Optimum and Altice, Verizon Fios, Xfinity xFi and xFi Pods, Spectrum.
- Netgear Orbi, every generation.
- Netgear Nighthawk routers and EX-series wall extenders.
- TP-Link Deco mesh.
- TP-Link Archer routers and RE-series extenders.
- Google Nest Wifi and Nest Wifi Pro.
- Big-box consumer mesh kits.
- Linksys Velop and older Linksys routers.
- ASUS ZenWiFi and AiMesh setups.
- Ubiquiti AmpliFi HD and Alien.
- Arris and Motorola combo modem-routers.
- Powerline adapters that send Wi-Fi through your outlets.
- Apple AirPort Express and AirPort Extreme, still going in a lot of houses.
- Gaming routers with eight antennas that still can't reach the third floor.
- Anything with two or three network names where your phone keeps picking the wrong one.
Don't want to replace it? See "Keep your system" above.
Same UniFi gear we put in offices, sized for a house.
UniFi is the only platform we install. It's what we run in law firms and medical offices across Westchester and the city, and it fits a house just as well. One system for the whole network, no subscription, and no one else's cloud in the middle of it. We don't install anything we wouldn't put in our own homes, and if a different approach fits your house better, we'll say so on the call.

Can I just buy the gear myself?
Yes. You can order the same hardware today, and if you're comfortable setting up bridge mode, placing the access points and moving 40 devices over, you don't need us. What you're paying for is the part that isn't in the box. Knowing where the signal dies in a 1920s colonial before anything gets drilled. Undoing whatever the cable company left behind. And being the person you text when something's weird in March.
Included every time.
Mesh or wired, this part doesn't change.
- A walk-through with a meter, so placement is measured instead of guessed.
- Your ISP equipment set up correctly. No double NAT, no second network.
- Same Wi-Fi name and password if you want it, so nothing gets re-paired.
- Every device tested before we leave. Including the printer.
- A one-page handoff: what's installed, where it is, and how to reach us.
- 30 days of support included. After that, help is quoted per visit.
30 days of backup, then help when you need it.
For offices we offer monthly Managed IT. Home Wi-Fi is different: it's a project install. You get 30 days of support after we finish, then you call when something needs a visit or a remote look. Same craft, no monthly home retainer.
If you want a follow-up visit later, we quote it when you need it. Ask on the call what that usually looks like for a house like yours.
Slow laptops stay local
We do the network and the wiring. For a slow laptop, a local computer shop is the right call.
From a bad Wi-Fi day to fixed.
A 30-minute call
We get on a Google Meet, you tell us what's happening and what you already own, and we ask the questions that matter. Your internet provider, your walls, whether the house has any ethernet in it, how many floors, when you need it done. It costs nothing and there's no pitch at the end.
A price
Most of the time we can price it from the call. If the house is complicated or you'd rather we see it first, we come out. That's $500, and it comes off your project.
Install
Mesh takes 2 to 3 hours. Wired takes one to two days. We label everything, test every room, and clean up after ourselves.
30 days of support
Something odd two weeks later? Text us. After 30 days, more help is per visit. Home Wi-Fi stays a project, not a monthly office-style plan.
You'll know who's at the door.
I quote and oversee every home job.
Background checked. Insured. You get a text with our ETA the morning of the job, and the engineer who quoted it stays on it start to finish.
From homes we've done.
"I went through five different technicians to compare knowledge and price. Besnik was, hands down, the best. He hardwired six TVs through the walls and took the time to teach me how to manage my own network. 10/10."
"Besnik did a great job organizing a complex web of a dozen devices into a wall-mounted rack. He installed the rack to the wall, organized all my devices in it, and then tested wired ethernet connectivity to each room in a multi-floor apartment."
"In under three hours he upgraded our entire network and migrated 20+ devices automatically. I'm sure there are less expensive consultants, but his work ethic and attention to detail make him worth every single penny."
"Great service. The professionals were capable, knowledgeable and customized the service and goods to fit my budget and needs. Would strongly recommend."
Home Wi-Fi installation across Westchester, Fairfield County, NYC and Northern New Jersey.
We're based in Pelham, NY. Most of our home work is in Westchester: New Rochelle, Larchmont, Mamaroneck, Scarsdale, Rye, Bronxville, Eastchester, White Plains and Chappaqua. We're in Fairfield County every week for Greenwich, Stamford and Darien, and in Manhattan, the Bronx, Queens and Brooklyn just as often. Northern New Jersey and the Hudson Valley by arrangement.
Questions, answered straight.
How much does whole-home Wi-Fi installation cost?
Mesh starts at $2,500 for three UniFi Express 7 nodes, hardware and install included. Extra mesh nodes are $450 each, and wiring a node to existing ethernet is $75. Wired UniFi starts at $8,000 and includes the network rack, and most homes land between $8,000 and $13,000 depending on how many access points and cable runs the house needs. Extra access points are $950 each installed and wired. Extra cable runs are $450, or $650 with no access. Keeping your existing system and having us configure it properly starts at $1,800. Cameras added during a wired install start at $800 each. Every price is confirmed on the call before anyone comes out.
Why are these starting prices?
Mesh doesn't touch your walls, so it's close to the same job in most houses and usually lands at the starting price. Wired does, and every house is different. A cable run through an open basement takes under an hour. The same run through a finished plaster ceiling with no access can take three. We price the runs once we've talked through the house.
Do these prices apply to my office?
No. These are home prices. Business networks are scoped and priced differently. Start at our networking page.
Can I buy the hardware myself and have you install it?
We install what we supply. That's how we can stand behind it for 30 days and swap a bad unit without a debate. Our price includes the hardware, so buying it yourself rarely saves anything.
Do you need to open walls for the wired option?
Usually a few small openings, plus access through the basement or attic. We show you exactly where before we start and photograph every opening. Patching and painting is your painter's work, not ours. Plaster and lath is our normal Tuesday.
Will my speakers, printer, cameras and everything else still work?
Yes. We keep your network name and password unless you want new ones, so devices reconnect on their own. Anything that doesn't, we fix before we leave.
What happens to the router from my internet provider?
It stays as the modem. We put it in bridge mode so your new system runs the network. One network instead of two, and faster.
I already spent a lot on my mesh system. Do I have to replace it?
No. We'll reset it, redesign the placement and configure it properly, starting at $1,800. We'll also be honest on the call about whether that money is better spent on a system we can actually stand behind.
Can you add cameras at the same time?
Yes, on the wired option. UniFi Protect cameras and a video doorbell run on the same rack and switch and show up in the same app. Adding them during the install starts at $800 per camera, hardware and cable included.
Do you fix computers or help with a slow laptop?
No. We do the network and the wiring. For a slow laptop, a local computer shop is the right call.
Why UniFi and not a consumer mesh kit?
UniFi is the same hardware we run in law firms and medical offices, and it holds up in homes for years. No subscription, no ads, no one else's cloud in the middle of your network, and it scales from a small apartment to a large office without changing platforms. And UniFi mesh is not a consumer extender: one real system, one network name, proper radios. An extender halves your speed and makes your phone cling to a second weaker network.
How fast can you come out?
Calls usually within a day or two. Mesh installs within the week. Wired installs are scheduled after the call, usually within two to three weeks.
What kind of support do I get after the install?
30 days of support after install are included. After that, help is quoted per visit. Home Wi-Fi is a project install, not monthly managed IT for the house.
Ready for Wi-Fi that actually reaches every room?
Tell us about the house. We'll tell you mesh vs wired, straight.
